LeBron James will always be deeply loved by his true fans, not only for his unique talent on the court but also as a respected family man. With more than 20 years in the league, he continues to grace the world of the NBA with his greatness.
LeBron has broken several records, surpassed several expectations and made history multiple times. Despite his age, he is still in a better shape than many young NBA stars. LeBron, who is no stranger to receiving praises, recently received love by the Lakers Legend Magic Johnson for his excellent performance.
Magic Johnson hails LeBron James’ dominant display
LeBron James is an incredible player. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar led his team to a 133-89 rout of the New Orleans Pelicans in the NBA In-Season Tournament semifinals on Thursday night, providing even more evidence for his admirers that he is arguably the greatest player of all time. For the first time in his career, James scored 30 points in just 23 minutes because of his exceptional play.
Lakers legend Magic Johnson made sure to point that out while praising LeBron James. “Another dominant performance by LeBron James tonight, this is the first time in his career scoring 30 points in 25 minutes!” Magic posted on his X account following the Lakers’ demolition of the Pelicans.
Even though LeBron will turn 39 in December, he performed against the Pelicans as if he were ten years younger. Another outstanding performance by the league’s all-time leading scorer included five rebounds, eight assists, and a perfect 4-for-4 shooting percentage from beyond the arc. Ultimately, LeBron James outscored Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram in terms of points and rebounds, and he dished more assists than any player on the Lakers or Pelicans, a remarkable feat.
LeBron hilariously addresses age concerns
LeBron James joked that he was still young enough to risk his life to win the $500,000 cash award that the NBA’s in-season tournament winners will receive. James made his remarks after the Los Angeles Lakers crushed the New Orleans Pelicans 133-89 in Thursday’s semifinal game. At the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, James finished with 30 points, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds, just over three weeks away from his 39th birthday.
He also obstructed a Zion Williamson charge in the first quarter. When asked if he was too old to risk a serious injury, James smiled and said, “Listen, man, not for that $500,000 bonus, I ain’t.” A $500,000 bonus will be awarded to each player who wins the inaugural final between the Lakers and the Indiana Pacers. Despite considering retirement after the previous season, James is happy to continue playing basketball. His presence on the court is a source of bliss for both LeBron and his fans.
