Kylian Mbappe posted a peculiar message on Instagram following PSG’s 1-0 defeat against Bayern Munich on their home soil at the crucial UCL round of sixteen first-leg clash.
Mbappe motivated his team by referring to PSG as the new Manchester United through a post on IG in French language and the translation reads, “All that remains to be done. Manchester United’s team are now on PSG.”

Although it is a bizarre caption to find the meaning fans across the world stood in a manner of absurdity due to this nonsensical evolution of the PSG superstar.
However, it could be possible that Mbappe was referring to the famous second leg of the 2018-19 UCL round of 16 clash with Manchester United where PSG suffered a terrible heartbreak.
Manchester United knocked out PSG in the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League in the 2018-2019 season where the Red Devils progressed to the quarter-finals on away goals, after winning the second leg at the Parc des Princes in Paris.

The first leg of the tie, played at Old Trafford, saw PSG win 2-0, putting Manchester United in a difficult position going into the second leg but a remarkable comeback in the second leg saw them win 3-1, with two goals from Romelu Lukaku and a late penalty from Marcus Rashford.
The win was seen as a major upset, as PSG was one of the favorites to win the competition that year, and had a two-goal advantage going into the second leg.
PSG are now in a similar spot as Manchester United were in comparison to the famous second leg and the French capital is in desperation to turn the tides onto their side.
🗣️ “I was unable to change the result but now there are reasons for hope because we are starting to recover our whole team. We were decimated by injuries.”

The second leg will be played on Allez Arena on March 9 as Bayern will host the French champions with an advantage of 1-0 away win, thanks to Kingsley Coman’s goal.
Kylian Mbappe played a brief part in their loss to Bayern due to his hamstring injury, but the former World Cup Winner will be eager to make his mark when they meet again for the return leg
