The comparison makes a player stronger if the player takes it seriously. This time, Doug Williams compared a different identity with the event of Super Bowl LVII-Patrick Mahomes vs. Jalen Hurts.

This is the first time ever, the Super Bowl will feature a matchup between two Black starting quarterbacks (Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts).
Williams recently drew parallels between this landmark and Obama’s first election to the presidency.
āI had tears of joy in my eye because I had an opportunity to witness this,ā the ex-Washington QB stated to the media. āSit there, and just look at it, and say to myself, āMan, we got two black quarterbacks playing in the Super Bowl.ā” āThings like this give me chills,ā Doug went on.
35 years after Doug Williams became the first black QB to play in the Super Bowl–I still remember how badly he kicked the Broncos' ass–he got teary seeing Mahomes & Hurts get there, likening it to seeing Barack Obama get elected. https://t.co/mq9MmuBzRD

Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes will lead the Chiefs into their third championship game. Super Bowl LVII will be Hurts’ first trip to the big game.
The matchup for this year is scheduled for Sunday, February 12 at State Farm Stadium in Arizona.
Williams praised the impending game between Mahomes and Hurts, calling it a “big milestone,” but adding that he still wants to see more progress in the NFL and the world at large.
