The takeover of Manchester United could be completed “very soon,” which will be encouraging to fans who have longed for the Glazers to leave for years. The modest Americans’ trophy cabinet is eerily quiet, and it appears that their 17-year kingdom at Old Trafford is approaching its end.

United had a shaky start to the 2022/23 season, but Erik ten Hag now seems to have stabilized his squad, as they are currently fourth in the Premier League table.
As revealed by reputed and reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, who spoke on The United Stand YouTube channel, there are currently discussions of a possible takeover:
“I’m still told there are already conversations ongoing. So, I can’t be precise about the timing because honestly, it depends on the club, on the new group and all the conversations, it’s about the lawyers.”
“It’s a really important process, but conversations are ongoing. It’s not just that Manchester United is for sale and time to wait. Conversations are ongoing. This is for sure.”- Romano said.
Another journalist David Ornstein told fans, “The Raine Bank who are in charge of this process they are aiming for a complete sale of Manchester United in the first quarter of 2023. Therefore, the Glazer family are not going to sanction a massive outlay of cash on deals at this time of the year.”
The Red Devils will likely remain with the Glazers at the reins for the January transfer window, as any agreement to purchase a club is unlikely to be finalized in such a brief amount of time.
United are in contention for a spot in the Champions League, so it would seem sensible for Eric Ten Hag and his team to strengthen their squad during the January transfer window in order to increase their chances of finishing in the top four.

Having the revenue from the Champions League set to come through the doors next season would undoubtedly be much more appealing to potential buyers, even though the club’s reputation will help Glazers sell the club irrespective of their leadership role.
Eric Ten Hag talking about potential takeover and told to reporters, “I’m told it will only be good things, there will be more investment possible and so it’s good news”
Earlier in 2021, the Premier League match between Manchester United and Liverpool was postponed after United fans managed to break into Old Trafford to campaign for the Glazers’ decision to join the cursed European Super League.
