It came as a shock to Madridistas after Real Madrid confirming their Spanish-Dominican player is affected with Covid-19. As per the news suggests, the player is now self-isolating at home.
Cadena COPE’s Arancha Rodriguez report also confirmed that Diaz didn’t train on Tuesday with other Real Madrid players. Hence, he didn’t come in contact with any of them.

After winning the 34th La Liga trophy, Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidan gave one week rest to his players. The players enjoyed their much-needed vacation with friends & families. The idea was to make them fresh & energetic before preparing for their crucial UCL clash against Man City on 7th August.
Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, Mariano Diaz is now ruled out of the game. That means Zidane has to make sure that he keeps Jovic ready to deliver as the substitute of Madrid’s first choice striker Karim Benzema.
