Vera’s statement was direct and unequivocal. Chito captioned the post, “And some idiots call Khabib the greatest lol.” This comment firmly establishes Vera’s belief in Jon Jones’ status as the top figure in the sport. He thus dismisses the idea that Khabib Nurmagomedov is the GOAT of MMA.

Fans slam Chito for his remarks on Khabib
Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera’s public remarks about Khabib Nurmagomedov being the GOAT of MMA did not align with a section of the fans. Some fans were very critical of Chito’s remarks. It is also worth noting that the other section of fans agree with Vera’s claim that Jones is the GOAT of MMA.
One fan blasted Vera for being an overrated fighter in the UFC. A fan basically said to Vera to shut up. Another fighter even went further to put Umar Nurmagomedov into the discussion and told Vera to shut up and focus on Nurmagomedov who is in Vera’s division.
It also needs to be noted that Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera’s comments are not aimed at disrespecting the Dagestani fighter. He was basically pointing out the longevity that Jones has in the UFC when compared to the Russian who has only 3 title defenses.
