Redick’s family in Pacific Palisades was forced to evacuate early for their safety. Before the Lakers’ game against the Mavericks, he said, “I just want to acknowledge and send thoughts and prayers to everyone in the Palisades right now. That’s where I live… Our family, my wife’s family, my wife’s twin sister, they’ve evacuated. I know a lot of people are freaking out right now, including my family.”
Steve Kerr’s mother’s home destroyed in Palisades wildfire
Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr shared that his mother, Ann Kerr’s home in Pacific Palisades was destroyed by Palisades wildfires. The home she had lived in since 1969 was destroyed, but thankfully she was able to escape safely.
Kerr has a particular connection to the region as he grew up there and spoke about how terrible and unbelievable the damage seems. Before the Warriors’ game against the Pistons, Kerr assured everyone that his family is safe.

He said, “It’s been tough. My family is fine, my mom is in good hands but her house is gone. So I’ve been on the phone with my siblings quite a bit, family calls just with my mom, but she’s got a lot of support…she’s safe and sound.”
