After ages, the most prolific trio of Paris Saint Germain in the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe set to return in action together on PSG’S trip to Rennes which promised to be one heck of a game.
Lionel Messi returned to PSG colour on a 2-0 victory against Angers where the seven time Ballon D’or winner scored a beautifully crafted goal after spending an extended vacation as part of Argentina’s World Cup winning celebration.

Kylian Mbappe played PSG’s first two games after the restart and the manager allowed him to have a break following the 3-1 defeat to Lens where the Frenchman was seen completely faded on the pitch.

Neymar is ever present to the team. However, a red card against Strasbourg hindered the Brazilian’s cause after a debatable decision from the referee, has made a return against Angers.

PSG are six points clear at the top after Lens dropped points against Strasbourg on a 2-2 draw. The Ligue 1 champion will be eyeing for a victory against Rennes that will distance themselves further at the top of the table from second placed Lens.
PSG has a tough and long season awaiting for them after failed to top the table at the UEFA Champions League and drew to play against Bayern Munchen on round of 16.

A lot of the success is dependent on the performance of the trio of Messi, Neymar & Mbappe. It is evident, when the superstars fired for the team, they intend to do well in big competitions and will be no different in terms of this season’s fate.
However, they looked a little bit shaky after returning from a hectic and long World Cup Schedule but that does not concern the manager, Christophe Galtier.
“We are all just getting used to playing together again and you could see at times that we lacked some of the connections between the players that we had more often before the World Cup,”- Galtier said after the midweek game.

Fans are desperate for the French club to deliver them a long cherished UCL trophy and lot of their desperation will depend on the impact of the trio on the field when they returned to action together.
