Kevin Durant and Luka Dončić had a memorable moment during the Los Angeles Lakers’ 107-96 win over the Phoenix Suns on Sunday. The exchange, caught by microphones, showed Durant’s competitive side as he jokingly but seriously warned Dončić about the upcoming playoffs.
During the fourth quarter, Luka Dončić hit an amazing step-back three-pointer, causing Kevin Durant to scramble. As Dončić made the shot, Durant was heard saying, “You’re not getting that in the playoffs, you know that.”

But that wasn’t all. The mic also picked up Durant talking to his teammate, saying, “We’re not going to stop from scoring, bro. We can’t come into a game and just stop their best players from scoring. We gotta just make it tough on him. We can’t give him 12 assists and 40 points though.”

Nuggets reportedly eye Kevin Durant for a trade
There have been rumors about the Denver Nuggets wanting Kevin Durant, but it’s still just talk for now. Durant’s future with the Phoenix Suns is a big topic, especially since the Suns are struggling to stay in playoff contention. Some reports say the Suns might trade Durant if they don’t make the playoffs.

Durant could potentially join the Denver Nuggets. Pairing him with Nikola Jokić, the current MVP, would make the Nuggets a strong team. However, the Nuggets would likely need to trade players like Michael Porter Jr. and some draft picks to make the deal happen.
