Tom Brady officially announced his retirement on the first day of February. Following his decision, there have been many speculations from sports analysts regarding what the NFL GOAT might do afterwards. One of those analysts is Mike Florio, who made a bizarre statement about TB12 and his future this Thursday.
A few days before his retirement, Tom Brady told Stephen A. Smith that he would join Fox Sports as a sports analyst with a whopping $ 375 million contract. However, after the legend retired, he clarified that he would not join the famous sporting channel immediately. Rather, he would take his time and might start his new career in the fall of 2024.
Now that Tom is free, many people, including Mike Florio, believe Brady is not done for “good,” but the GOAT might be back for round three in a 49ers jersey!
Why does Mike Florio believe TB12 might come back?
Tom Brady, over the years, has made many statements but did not live up to his promise. Take his last year’s retirement for an example, and you will remember that TB12 came back shortly after spending only forty days in retirement.
Along with his failures to live with his promises, Tom also loves to play football, and Florio believes his desire to stay on the field might trigger Tom to return for a third dance. Mike also brings up two more interesting facts. Firstly, he talks about the San Francisco 49ers and their need for a quarterback, with no Brock Purdy due to his injured elbow and the step-down of veteran
.
Brock Purdy got injured in the NFC championship game. What was most interesting about Florio’s statement is that he even mentioned Super Bowl LVII champion and MVP winner Patrick Mahomes. According to Mike, Brady will make his famous third return as Mahomes is getting closer to his records and might break his seven Super Bowl-winning achievement. So to stay on the safer side, TB12 will represent the 49ers to win his eighth title.
Mike Florio’s claims are quite wild, I must say! What do you think? Do you agree with Florio? You can share your thoughts in the comments.
