Mixed Backstage Views on John Cena’s WrestleMania Match with Logan Paul Reportedly Shuts Down the Possibility

A few days ago, a report said that WWE was thinking about having a match between John Cena and Logan Paul at WrestleMania 41 as part of Cena’s farewell tour. However, fans didn’t react positively, and now reports suggest that even WWE’s higher officials are not pleased with the idea.

So, it has to be said that the plans for John Cena’s final WrestleMania match have reportedly hit a snag, with mixed backstage views reportedly shutting down the possibility of a match against Logan Paul.

WrestleVotes Radio reports that many people in WWE creative are not on board with the idea of Cena facing Paul at WrestleMania 41. Although many have discussed the match, there is a general consensus that it shouldn’t be Cena’s final match on the grand stage.

According to WrestleVotes on X, discussions about a match between John Cena and Logan Paul at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas took place, but backstage reactions have been largely negative. Many believe that someone else, not Paul, should be the one to face Cena in his final WrestleMania match, like Randy Orton or LA Knight.

Why WWE doesn’t want John Cena vs Logan Paul at Mania 41

John Cena is getting ready for his retirement tour, which will begin in January with Raw’s Netflix debut on January 6. His tour will run from January to December, with about 35–40 appearances planned.

As his final WrestleMania approaches, fans are debating who should face him. Many think Randy Orton, due to their long rivalry, would be a great opponent. Another possibility is Cody Rhodes, but not Logan Paul.

Though Logan Paul is very popular, many WWE insiders feel that a match with him might not be as meaningful or emotional as fans would want for Cena’s last match. This backstage debate shows how important it is to make Cena’s final WrestleMania appearance special.
