The Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah is one of Liverpool’s main men leading the frontline. The talisman forward has been the most consistent player over the years for Liverpool and has also played an influential role for Klopp’s side.
However, as he enters the latter stages of his career, there is speculation that he may finish his professional journey in the Saudi League, with clubs showing interest in the 32-year-old forward.
Mohamed Salah has reportedly inked contracts to join the Saudi Pro League
Following the failed transfer between Al-Ittihad and Liverpool last summer window, there are
reports which suggest that Salah has again become a top target for other Saudi clubs. Despite
being under contract with the Reds until 2025, there is a high possibility of seeing Salah playing for a Saudi club next season.
As per reports, Ahmed Hossam Hussein Abdelhamid Wasfi aka Mido made a surprising announcement out of the blue. He tweeted on X, “Mohamed Salah will be in the Saudi League next season. Contracts have been signed.”
This unofficial announcement has left the Football world in shock and confusion, as
everyone tries to comprehend this potential news.
In addition to Salah, there are other players in the Premier League who are being monitored by the Saudi clubs. We have seen great players make the move from the Premier League to the league last summer, and it looks like this season will be no different as players like Van Dijk, Kevin De Bruyne, Bruno Fernandez and many others are on the target list of the Saudi clubs.
When is Mohamed Salah injury comeback date?
In the recent Carabao Cup fixture between Liverpool and Chelsea, Liverpool fans were surprised by the absence of players like Salah and Nunez who were expected to have a high chance of playing in the final but did not even feature on the bench.
Klopp later addressed the absence of the Egyptian and other players shedding the light over the situation. He said, “It’s touch and go with a lot of players, still with the boys who(were) not available for the final- like Darwin, Mo, Dom. We have to see what they can do today.”
Salah was brought back to Liverpool for treatment after suffering a hamstring injury during the
AFCON matches which caused him to miss crucial games for Egypt and also missed 8 matches for the Liverpool side due to AFCON and the injury.
Although Salah made a comeback during the Brentford game, it was soon revealed by the club that Salah has reportedly sustained an injury again and will be out for weeks which made him miss the Final against Chelsea and Cup tie against Southampton.
The treatment room was packed with players like Alisson, Nunez, Mo and others already in
queue, when it was announced that Ryan Gravenberch and Endo will also be soon joining them. Gravenberch was seen in a lot of pain after the Caicedo tackle, and thus was later subbed off due to injury.
Despite Liverpool’s numerous injury setbacks, the emergence of the academy players showcasing their valor and confidence during their cup final against Chelsea was a sight to behold. However, it will be thrilling to see how Liverpool play on and maintain their title charge with so many players on the sideline.
