Nowadays, Vinicius Jr. is considered the face of Real Madrid and of soccer itself being one of the best young players in recent times. The Brazilian became the face of combating racism in football a few months back when Valencia fans racially abused him. The forward received widespread support from fans and famous personalities all around the world.
The star recently celebrated his 23rd birthday and hosted a big party that lasted two days. But now a journalist has called out the Real Madrid winger for being a hypocrite as details of his party emerge.
Reports reveal astonishing qualifying process for Vinicius Jr. party guests
The Brazilian winger reportedly had a special requirement to allow women to attend his party. Any woman that wished to come to the party was asked to keep their Instagram accounts public to be viewed easily and had to send the link of the account to the player’s entourage. They will check the photos of the girl and then either approve or reject her from coming.
The girls also had to have a customized abadá, a piece of clothing that is worn in Brazil. Not only that but none of the girls were allowed to bring in a cell phone at the party venue to prevent leaks.

Journalist Fabia Oliveira was the one to make the shocking discovery. She wrote a column for Metropoles, a news outlet in Brazil. In that column, as reported by Sportskeeda, she said,
“The two days of festivities were marked by some unusual requirements: in addition to having a customized abadá and prohibiting the use of cell phones at the venue, the Flamengo player also carried out a detailed analysis of the guests’ social networks.”
“The column found, exclusively, that people needed to leave Instagram open and send the link to several members of the athlete’s team for an evaluation to be made. There were cases where two friends sent it and only one got confirmation of the invitation. What a thing, no?”
Neither Vinicius Jr. nor any of his entourage have commented on the issue.
Real Madrid star garnered worldwide sympathy following racial row
Back in May, at the end of the La Liga season, Vinicius Jr. was the victim of racial abuse. It happened during a league match against Valencia, in their stadium where a part of the stadium chanted racist abuse at him.
Following the events, the star received much-needed support and sympathy worldwide.
Brazil’s president Lula himself brought up the issue in a G7 meeting. Later, Christ the Redeemer’s monument in Rio De Janeiro had its lights dimmed to protest the abuse he faced. Players such as Rio Ferdinand, Ronaldo Nazario, and Marcus Rashford among many others all came to support him.
The recent accusation against Vinicius Jr. may hamper him in his efforts to banish racism from soccer. After all, if he does the same distinction against certain women in general, what’s the difference?
