Molly Qerim, the gorgeous host of the “First Take” show on ESPN, was married to former ESPN analyst and Basketball player Jalen Rose for 3 years. However, their marriage did not last and they got divorced.
There was a lot of speculation from NBA fans regarding the divorce. Many thought that the reason for the Divorce was Molly Qerim’s Co-host of the “First Take” show on ESPN.
Jalen Rose gets called out over Molly Qerim picture
Jalen Rose was recently called out over Molly Qerim’s picture on X by a fan. The fan wrote, “Jalen fumbled the bag.” The tweet got lots of views and replies. Some argued that Jalen made a mistake by letting Molly go, while some felt that he made the right decision and dodged a bullet. Jalen Rose was a 13-year NBA veteran before joining Molly Qerim and other sports analysts at ESPN. In 923 games for six different teams, Jalen averaged 14.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists.

Three years after Rose and Qerim’s July 2018 marriage, they called it quits. The former NBA Most Improved Player winner shared a tale about this on Instagram in December 2021. He said, “After being separated for almost a year, Molly and I [Jalen Rose] have decided to go our separate ways. We [Jalen and Molly] both agree remaining friends and colleagues is the best course of action for our relationship moving forward. Please respect our privacy at this time.”
Rose addressed Qerim divorce
Some fans believed that the NBA Analyst Stephen A. Smith was the reason of the divorce because many had seen him flirt with Molly several times. Jalen Rose, however, dismissed the reports as “laughable” in an interview with GQ.
He said, “In my personal relationship, it was laughable to me, to see [Molly Qerim] and I mutually part ways, be in accord about why we’re parting ways, and still see people speculating on why. Not only speculating — in particular saying it was because her and Stephen A. Smith had a relationship,”
However Jalen revealed that he was indeed bothered by the gossip because all three of them were working together for ESPN at that time. Jalen is currently dating Political Commentator Angela Rye.
Jalen said, “But, when it happened, it’s two ways for me to handle it as a professional: I work with him, I got love for him, and that’s my brother. I got love for her, we were friends before we were married, we just didn’t work as a couple. I just saw her today. We cool! But for me to see the speculation and for people to assume that was why, it bothered me.”
