Morgan Charriere KO’s Manolo Zecchini
One of the standout performances from UFC Paris was Morgan Charriere’s. Charriere defeated Manolo Zecchini in the very first round via punches and kicks to the body. Morgan Charriere’s impactful strikes left the Italian wincing in pain even after the referee called a halt to the contest.

Before his UFC debut, Charriere was signed with Cage Warriors, where he had finished his last two opponents and was on a three-fight win streak. However, he had lost his previous two bouts before that. By winning the bout in spectacular fashion on his debut, the future looks bright for the 27-year-old featherweight contender.
Manolo was riding a two-fight win streak in Venator FC. The 26-year-old Italian fighter did have a good start to the fight, but the body kicks blasted by Charriere were a bit too much to handle. Charriere was defensively sound and it gave Zecchini problems that he couldn’t handle.
Morgan Charriere bags $50k bonus at UFC Paris
Morgan Charriere’s elite striking performance bagged him the performance of the night bonus along with Ciryl Gane. The performance thus added an additional $50,000 to his fight purse. Moreover, the fight between Thiago Moises and Benoit Saint-Denis won the fight of the night.
Performance bonuses are indeed very tempting, especially considering that some UFC fighters earn less than the bonuses themselves. With Charriere only making his UFC debut, he is likely to earn less than $50,000 in purse, minus the bonus. The UFC’s performance bonus structure serves as a significant incentive for fighters, often motivating them to finish their opponents.
‘Bon Gamin’ also followed a similar path to victory. Gane demolished Spivak with body shots. Meanwhile the fight of the night winners provided an action-packed fight that saw another Frenchman prevailing over his Brazilian opponent.
