GSW power forward Draymond Green has trolled former teammate and bitter rival Kevin Durant. This came after Durant’s current team, The Brooklyn Nets got swept 4-0 by the Boston Celtics in the NBA playoffs.
The Celtics-Nets series has been wrapped up by Boston in just 4 games. Boston dominated all the games to put the series to bed. The Nets team for the 2021-22 playoffs was star-studded with the likes of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.
But the star power was of no use as the Nets were routed out by the Celtics. This series had all sorts of drama from the start, with Kyrie Irving flipping off the crowd in the first game and getting heavily fined for it.
As soon as the game was wrapped up, Draymond Green tweeted out a series of laughing emojis, implying that he was joyed at the Net’s downfall. But the cryptic tweet was later explained by Green in another tweet stating:
The fans were quick to catch on to what Green was truly laughing at, the misfortunes of his former GSW teammate, Kevin Durant!
Durant and Green played together for the Golder State Warriors for three seasons. After Durant moved from Oklahoma to GSW, the duo rampaged through the league in one of the most dominant displays ever seen. But the pair were at odds throughout their time together as they were seen arguing more often than not.
Their infamous fallout happened during a game against the Clippers, where Green did not pass the ball to Durant in the final seconds of the game resulting in GSW losing it. This fallout ultimately culminated with Kevin Durant leaving the Warriors for his current team, the Nets!
Draymond Green and Kevin Durant have since both blamed the management for how they handled the situation. They said it would not have been so bad had the leadership been strong enough.
The dynamic duo seemingly buried the hatchet. But with Green’s latest tweet dissing Durant, it seems that there has been no love lost between them!
