In the recent Lakers vs Timberwolves game, Anthony Edwards faced a huge setback with multiple fouls. This caused him to be ejected from the game. It was surprising because this was his 16th technical foul of the season. As a result, he received a fine and faced a one-game suspension.
A player automatically faces a significant fine and suspension once they accumulate 16 technical fouls. And to make things worse in Thursday’s game, Anthony Edwards got two technical fouls.
Before this game, Edwards had already received 14 technical fouls this season. In the first half of Tuesday’s game against the Lakers, he got into a heated moment with his former Timberwolves teammate, Jarred Vanderbilt.

This led Edwards to receive a technical foul, making it his 15th of the season. No one expected that just a few moments later, he would get another one. In the third quarter, Edwards picked up his 16th and threw the ball into the crowd, risking a bigger fineāmaybe more than $5000.
Now, Edwards will miss the Timberwolves’ next game for sure, adding to the team’s challenges in the Western Conference.
