The NBA professional athlete Ja Morant appeared on his Instagram live with a gun in his hand while partying with others at a strip club on Friday.
This wasn’t the first time he was accused of questionable behavior; previously, he allegedly threatened a teenager with gun last year and in January his entourage was involved in similar incident. This time, the Grizzlies suspended him for two games and there are some moving parts working in the league’s authority.
As the NBA community raised some questions about his online antics, the authority might want to set an example of him to discourage further similar tantrums.
What actions will the NBA take for Ja Morant’s incident?
The NBA has a record of issuing sanctions for such kind of antics however, Morant wasn’t actually doing or showing any intention to do something in the video. It was more like a matter of pride and power for the youngster.
Though the Grizzlies issued a suspension, the NBA isn’t done with him, as they are investigating Morant’s action of that night. From Instagram live we can observe the utmost indecent surrounding the athlete who was partying in the strip club.
The NBA spokesperson Mike Bass released a statement regarding the professional action: “We are aware of a social media post involving Ja Morant and are investigating.”

However, the 23-year-old issued an apology statement and deactivated his social media accounts. There are no solid reasons for his decision yet but we are assuming the youngster finally came to his senses after such a tantrum.
On another note, Ja is demonstrating an electrifying performance this season, scoring on average 27.1 points with 6.0 rebounds and 8.2 assists per game in 53 appearances. This suspension might affect his scoring prowess in the future; it would be better if he became cautious about his action from now.
