The Chicago Bulls this season were ordinary, to say the least- they currently stand in tenth position in the Eastern Conference with only 19 wins and 23 losses. Their uneven team balance and lack of understanding among each other are reasons for their bad run of play.
Even though the Bulls did not play to their true potential, Zach LaVine, throughout the season, has been outstanding in helping his team get the crucial victories. Out of the 42 games the Bulls played, Zach featured in 38 and contributed with an average of 23.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and one steal in each game.
LaVine’s stats might impress many fans, yet some people in the Bulls’ camp would want to see the back of Zach. As of now, the shooting guard for Chicago has been involved in multiple slices of beef, including his relationship with coach Billy Donovan.
Moreover, while the player does not have the best relationship with his teammates and coach, other teams would be eyeing the player- waiting to get an opportunity to sign him on board. Although multiple franchises are interested in the guard, no other team comes close to the Knicks and the Mavericks.
Why are the Knicks and Mavericks interested in Zach LaVine?
First of all, Zach Lavine is an immensely talented player. Furthermore, while he is now 27 years of age, he has played 516 games across nine seasons. His guarding experience will surely help teams like the Knicks and Mavericks.
Speaking of guards, both Knicks and Mavericks have each won 23 games out of their 42 encounters, thanks to the efforts of shooting guards Jalen Burnson and Luka Doncic. While both teams’ guards are in insanely incredible forms, they could be more effective if they get support from someone like Zach LaVine.
On the other hand, the guards for the Knicks and the Mavericks will not always remain fit, so LaVine featuring these teams will certainly increase their bench strength.
Finally, Zach is in great touch, so other teams, like the Lakers, would also be interested in signing the player. Most teams want LaVine in their squads, so the Knicks and the Mavericks should not waste this opportunity to get the guard on board.
