The San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy is heading toward Las Vegas to play his first Super Bowl game against the Chiefs. While players are already in Las Vegas and one even allegedly got attacked by a Coyote, Purdy took his time to bid farewell to his close ones before leaving for the big game.
Recently, a video surfaced on social media in which it can be seen that the QB visited his old school and made a sweet gesture towards his teacher that won him the “humble goat” title from the fans.
Brock Purdy surprises former English teacher
In a video shared on the platform X, Brock Purdy can be seen visiting his junior school. The QB studied at Perry High School in Gilbert, Arizona and he used to play football with the school’s team.
However, it wasn’t his sports coach whom the NFL player wanted to meet before the big game but his English teacher. There’s always one special teacher in everyone’s school and in Purdy’s case it was his English teacher, Katie Chambra.
At the beginning of the video, he is standing outside her class and is all giddy and excited and he suddenly enters the class. His teacher after seeing him started crying and expressed shock that Brock Purdy chose to meet her before his big day.
His English teacher previously talked about the QB and shared that she never thought he would become a football player.
“Sometimes you couldn’t tell he played football. He was always focused. He sat in front of the class and focused on his work.”
But today, Brock Purdy is one of the best NFL players and is going to play in the Super Bowl LVIII, a dream some players haven’t achieved yet despite years of playing in the NFL.
