The NFL Hall of Fame has predicted a smooth transition for Aaron Rodgers to the Jets. Rodgers, a four-time league M.V.P. with the Green Bay Packers, will look to turn the Jets into a Super Bowl contender. With Rodgers now traded to New York, the Jets are expected to become prime-time darlings when the NFL schedule is released next month and could play up to six prime-time games
Peyton Manning, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, is also thrilled about the addition of Aaron Rodgers as their quarterback for at least the 2023 season.
Manning, changed teams in the latter stages of his career. But after neck surgery, he switched from the Indianapolis Colts to the Denver Broncos. Manning, as opposed to Rodgers, was free to select any team because the Green Bay Packers had to agree to a deal with the New York Jets.
What did Manning say about Aaron Rodgers?
The two-time Super Bowl champion discussed the deal on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Tuesday. He proclaimed himself to be “excited” for the Jets and the four-time MVP.
“Let me explain why I believe it will succeed. He will be able to play so much faster because he is using the same approach that he used in Green Bay. It’s nearly impossible, Pat, to learn a new offence in your 18th or 19th year because you have to relearn your previous offence.”
Manning further added, “You saw it with (Tom) Brady, and he goes to Tampa. They’re kind of making him learn some different language. All of a sudden, Week 6, they’re like, ‘Hey maybe we should just call the plays that Tom used to run in New England. Oh okay, let’s try that.’ Boom, they go to the Super Bowl.”
Rodgers’ move to the Jets is expected to be a smooth transition as he has the same system that he had in Green Bay 1. This could be an exciting time for Jets fans as they look forward to seeing what Rodgers can do for their team.
