While the NFL world is busy in free agency and preparing for the upcoming season, the Cowboys QB Dak Prescott is entangled in multiple legal battles.
Prescott is widely known as a nice guy with a clean history but this time things have become a little too complicated for the QB as he is dealing with two women-related cases at the same time.
Dak Prescott allegedly involved in two women-related court cases
Among the two cases Dak Prescott is grappling with, the first one is the investigation into an allegation made by a woman identified as Victoria Shores. She accused Prescott of sexually assaulting her back in 2017 and asked the QB to compensate her for all the trouble she had gone through mentally and physically.
The second case is the counter-lawsuit filed by Dak Prescott against his accuser. The QB has filed a civil lawsuit along with a criminal report, claiming that the woman and her attorneys are trying to tarnish his reputation and extort money from him through these false accusations.
Prescott’s lawyer, Levi McCarthern, said that the allegation that the Pro Bowl QB sexually assaulted the woman is “a completely fabricated story.” His lawyers claim that it is an “extortion plot,” demanding $100 million in exchange for not reporting her allegation to the police.
The lawsuit also claimed that the woman and her attorneys, who are allegedly Prescott’s haters, wrote a letter to the QB, giving him a deadline to give them $100 million or they would make this case public. Dak Prescott’s lawyers denied all these allegations and claimed that the money obtained from the counter-lawsuit would be donated to the Joyful Heart Foundation, a nonprofit organization that aids survivors of sexual assault.
Dak Prescott welcomes new baby amid lawsuits
Despite all these legal battles, one positive news about Dak Prescott is that he welcomed his daughter with his girlfriend, Sarah Jane a week ago. It is Prescott’s first baby with his current girlfriend, a daughter whose name has not been shared yet, but the QB referred to her as MJ.
Dak Prescott announced this joyful news with the reporters on Monday, sharing that both the baby and mama are healthy. The baby girl was born on Thursday, and the QB claimed that he has already taken on a lot of her responsibilities, including diaper duties.
Expressing gratitude for his newborn, the Pro Bowl QB also mentioned that he is truly blessed to embrace fatherhood and shared that seeing the baby every morning helped him understand that he wants to do whatever he can to make sure she is taken care of. Prescott and Sarah first shared the news that they are expecting a baby back in November, with the QB especially excited for a baby girl.
Hopefully, Dak Prescott’s legal battles will be resolved soon so that he can fully enjoy this period of fatherhood with his baby girl, MJ.
