Mayfield, drafted in the first round by the Cleveland Browns in 2018, had a strong start to his career but struggled in his second year. However, he bounced back in the 2020 season, leading the Browns to the playoffs for the first time in 18 years.
In the wild-card round, he threw three touchdown passes against the Steelers, leading the Browns to their first playoff win in 26 years and their first postseason road win since 1969.
