The Las Vegas Raiders placed their star running back, Josh Jacobs, on the franchise tag on March 6, despite his spectacular performance last season.
Josh started his professional career after being picked 24th overall by the Raiders in the 2019 NFL draft and signing a four-year rookie contract. Later in 2022, they activated the fifth-year option for him, but eventually they decided to include it in the franchise tag.
Consequentially, there are several suitable spots the raiders could end up next season, but CBS Sports’ Cody Benjamin explored the best possible landing spot.
Where can Josh Jacobs land on?
The 25-year-old had his best season in his four-year professional career last season, but it appears the Raiders can’t afford him anymore. The franchisee can save $10 million, from any trade even though he is tagged.
According to Cody, the Seattle Seahawks have the maximum possibility of bringing the two-time pro bowler abroad. Besides, he explained the possibility of Buffalo Bills too.

However, the Seahawks might not feel the urge to sign the reigning rushing yards leader as their own Kenneth Walker has shown consistency at the position. They wouldn’t want any toxic competition among the two, but there could be only one starter.
However, letting the second-year athlete lead as a runner might not seem very smart at the moment, and from this perspective, Jacobs might play a vital role as a mentor and RB leader.
The Jim Brown Award recipient scored 12 rushing touchdowns and made 53 receptions with 1,653 rushing yards in 17 starts last season. Interesting, he expressed his dissatisfaction with the raider’s decision to let tight end Darren Waller go as he tweeted, “S**** sad fr.”
