In a thrilling attempt to unite the best of both worlds, global sports brand Nike united Real Madrid sensation Vinicius Jr with basketball legend Lebron James in an exciting Soccer – NBA crossover collaboration. The two stars were seen together exchanging jerseys with one another at the NBA Christmas Games 2023.
There is no doubt that the Real Madrid youngster likes basketball as he was previously seen sitting courtside at Oklahoma City for the Thunder’s game against the Clippers where he met up with the Thunder players postgame. This time Vinicius took the opportunity to meet the NBA’s modern day GOAT.
Vinicius Jr links up with LeBron James in Nike collaboration
The young Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr linked up with basketball and Lakers maestro Lebron James ahead of his Christmas Day fixture in a unique Nike collaboration that brought both elite athletes together. The two stars were all smiles and even exchanged jerseys and autographs with each other.
Vinicius handed over his Brazilian National Team jersey signed by him and received an autographed Lakers jersey by the Lakers star. They then smiled for the cameras and bid farewell.
The Real Madrid star was pictured sitting courtside along with his Real Madrid teammate, Eduardo Camavinga as they watched the Lakers play the Nuggets in the NBA Christmas Games 2023. The pair also took their time to take pictures with other NBA superstars such as Anthony Davis, and Jayson Tatum. He was also seen exchanging jerseys with Celtics guard Jaylen Brown backstage.
Vinicius Jr once picked LeBron James’ Lakers his favorite NBA team
When asked about his favorite basketball team, the young superstar from Real Madrid suggested that it is whichever team Lebron James plays for. That meant the Brazilian star supports the Los Angeles Lakers and is a big fan of the NBA great.
Vinicius’ love for basketball is beyond question as he is a constant spectator of the NBA and is seen courtside now and then. In June, the player was pictured along with football superstars Neymar Jr and Paul Pogba to watch the Game 4 of the NBA Finals between the Denver Nuggets and the Miami Heat.
