Allen Lazard, the Green Bay Packers star, has declared Aaron Rodgers as the greatest football thrower ever, relinquishing the G.O.A.T. title from Tom Brady, as per his statement to TMZ Sports during Super Bowl festivities.
Despite Brady’s impressive track record with seven Super Bowl rings, playing till 45, and holding several passing records, Lazard asserts that Rodgers is undoubtedly the best and that there is no doubt about it.
The 27-year-old said, “The greatest of all time. Not might, no might. Drop the might. He’s the G.O.A.T.”
Although Tom Brady has a remarkable record with seven Super Bowl rings, playing until the age of 45, and possessing almost every passing record, Allen Lazard prefers his signal-caller, Aaron Rodgers, over anyone else.
Allen Lazard, who has been catching passes from Rodgers since 2018, believes that Rodgers is the best person ever to pick up a football and throw it, praising his pinpoint accuracy. However, Lazard’s statement could be somewhat biased. Moreover, their future playing together is uncertain as Lazard is currently a free agent, and Rodgers is rumored to be a potential trade candidate this offseason.
“The best person to ever pick up a football and throw the ball,” he said. “I’ll leave it at that.”
According to Allen Lazard, catching passes from Aaron Rodgers has been a significant highlight of his life and career.
“Catching passes from him has, you know, it’s been a highlight of my life, my career, and everything,” Lazard said.
However, Lazard’s teammate, Aaron Jones, has a different opinion. During the SB LVII festivities, Jones expressed his dislike for the idea of Rodgers playing for any other team, especially the Las Vegas Raiders. Jones emphasized that Rodgers is his quarterback and that he doesn’t want him to go anywhere.
He’s my quarterback!” the running back said. “I don’t want him to go nowhere.”
As for Rodgers, he is currently in a “darkness retreat” and is expected to make a decision about his football future soon, hoping to achieve enlightenment.
