As the holiday season concludes, players have their way back to training after spending fun time with their loved ones and exchanging gifts. The same cannot be said for Aaron Gordon, the powerhouse of the Denver Nuggets, though.
Rogers interestingly received an unexpectedly scarring Christmas gift from his dearly attached Rottweiler during the holidays that caused him to miss two games.
Aaron Gordon shares Christmas Day dog bite incident details
The family dog, also a loyal companion for four years, accidently caused the injury while the Denver Nuggets’ forward, Aaron Gordon, was ‘fooling around‘ with the dog, leading to 21 stitches and a brief absence from the court.
However, despite the unexpected setback, Gordon rejoined the Nuggets for their daily practice, which clearly speaks volumes about his resilience and determination to return to the game.
As he faced the media, Gordon shared the details of the unfortunate incident, attributing it to a bit too much holiday ‘eggnog’ and a bit too much of a playful interaction with his canine companion.
This nasty injury, however, did not stop Gordon’s commitment to the game of basketball, though it required him to get a few stitches on his shooting hand and face too. It’s just inspirational how this man is not running a pageant and is literally ready to play at game speed, even with stitches on his face and hand.

After the bizarre Christmas Day dog bite incident, the Denver Nuggets’ forward Aaron Gordon made a triumphant return to the court on New Year’s Day.
Contrary to the initial expectations of a prolonged absence from the Nuggets medical team, Gordon rejoined the Nuggets for practice over the weekend, displaying his exceptional resilience and determination for the game and the Denver team as a whole.
Despite playing with a protective bandage on his shooting hand and nearly invisible facial cuts, Gordon was able to contribute significantly to a 111-93 victory over the Charlotte Hornets, scoring 10 points, including a highlight spectacular dunk.
