In Game 1 of the NBA Finals 2023 at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, the Denver Nuggets defeated the Miami Heat with a commanding effort, 104-93. For the Nuggets, Jamal Murray scored 26 points, while Nikola Jokic added 27 points to their victory. Since its founding in 1976, the Denver Nuggets have never before made it to the NBA Finals.
The Miami Heat, on the other side, are participating in the championship game for the seventh time and have won three previous championships. Seven games will make up the series, four of which will be played in Denver and three in Miami, Florida.

At the Arthur E Johnson Boys & Girls Club in downtown Denver, they helped dedicate a new STEM lab alongside the NBA.
The ceremony for the dedication took place the morning following the game, and the youngsters also got the wonderful chance to play basketball in the club gym with professional players. For everyone engaged, it was a memorable and energising event.
Nuggets dedicate $40k toward renovation of STEM lab
Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver CEO Erin Porteous spoke during the dedication of the new STEM lab at the Arthur E Johnson Boys & Girls Club on the significance of the occasion and the effect it has on the kids.
In addition to newly painted walls, wall decals, contemporary carpeting, new furniture, and STEM equipment, the lab has been remodelled. NBA star Jeff Green urged the children to enjoy themselves and seize the moment while taking use of the STEM center’s and gym’s chances.

Through the NBA Cares programme, the Denver Nuggets donated $45,000 to the lab, reaffirming their long-standing relationship with the Boys & Girls Club.NBA Commissioner Adam Silver acknowledged the importance of such community involvement, emphasizing the loyalty of fans when organizations support local assets.
