Former Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is back on the market again after recovering from an ACL injury, but for a long time, no franchise has offered him a deal.
During Super Bowl LVI, he suffered a nasty, career-threatening injury and missed the rest of the game. Though the Rams ended up being the champions, they didn’t offer an extension deal to Odell, and he spent the whole 2022–2023 season improving his physique and training.
However, his fate kind of depends on legendary quarterback Aaron Rodgers‘ possibly joining the New York Jets, and he might join with the star too.
Why would the Jets want Odell Beckham Jr.?
The 30-year-old will likely join the Jets as former Green Bay Packers star Aaron has expressed his desire to play alongside him. The Jets and the 2010 Super Bowl champion might come to a mutual understanding, bringing the wide receiver into the franchise.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter also expressed a similar notion and said, “Who would’ve thought that Aaron Rodgers might be the single factor holding up Odell’s signing in the end? But I think everybody — including Odell Beckham Jr. — is waiting to see if and when the Jets get a deal done with Aaron Rodgers.”

“The interest would be mutual with Rodgers having mentioned Beckham’s name to the Jets front office during their visit,” Shefter added. On the other hand, the rumors suggest that the Baltimore Ravens are coming forward with a deal for the three-time pro bowler.
Beckham Jr. has spent five years in New York with the city rival, the Giants, and in the meantime, he has made 44 receiving touchdowns and accumulated 5476 yards in receptions with a 62.7% completion rate.
However, the form of Odell Beckham Jr. has seen a significant decline in recent years, which makes him somewhat undesirable in free agency. Can he finally get a franchise to sign him? Leave your thoughts with us in the comment section.
