“OTC” Roman Reigns Calls WWE Raw’s Move to Netflix “The Biggest Deal Ever”

Monday Night Raw, WWE’s flagship program, will be making its long-awaited transition to streaming service Netflix. The wrestling industry may never be the same after this uncommon ten-year pact, which may inspire more events to go with the streaming option. Recently, Roman Reigns discussed his opinion on this massive deal.

The WWE-Netflix agreement is valued at $500 million per year for ten years, with an option to renew or quit after five years. Speaking at the New York Power Players event hosted by Bloomberg, Tribal Cheif Roman Reigns referred to it as “the biggest deal of all time.”

He said, “I think this is the biggest deal of all time, to be honest. The thing that changes the whole landscape for us is that we’ve been on linear television for decades, and we’ve been the leader of that, episodically. To take our program and put it on a streaming network like Netflix, it’s unheard of.”

Since his elevation from “The Big Dog” to “The Head of the Table,” Reigns has played a crucial role in the recent success of WWE. This Netflix deal will let his fans worldwide watch his amazing acts from home.

Roman Reigns opens up about preferring heel or babyface roles

Fans had a hard time connecting with Roman Reigns when he was a babyface in WWE. Since turning heel as the leader of The Bloodline, he’s won over fans and received a huge ovation upon returning as a babyface. Reigns said at Bloomberg’s Power Players event that while being a babyface is simpler, he greatly prefers being a villain.

The 39-year-old said, “Well, the business is at its most successful with me as a heel, but the future looks bright, It’s much easier — I think babyface is an easier side to actually perform in. But, it’s so much more fun as a bad guy.”
