Taylor Swift has been a huge part of the NFL world ever since she started dating the Chiefs TE Travis Kelce. Despite a lot of criticism, she helped the league increase its viewership, especially drawing female viewers.
As the Chiefs QB and Travis Kelce’s friend Patrick Mahomes, along with his wife Brittany, hold majority stakes in the KC-franchise of the WNSL, he wants the same support from Taylor Swift for his new team.

Patrick Mahomes and his wife have become co-owners of a women’s soccer team, the Kansas City Current. Brittany, a former soccer player, founded the team alongside Chris and Angie Long.
The couple attended the first-ever game of their new team and supported the kick-off of the brand-new CPKC Stadium. Brittany talked to the people in the stadium and while expressing gratitude for their support she shared that she would try to bring Taylor Swift as one of the VIP guests in the game soon.
“That’s definitely on me, that’s definitely on me. I’ll work on it, I will work on it,” Brittany Mahomes per Marca.
She also expressed gratitude to everyone who appeared to support this new team.
“Kansas City – we’re here, we did it. I just want to say thank you guys for showing up today. This is history, this is incredible, and for you guys to show up for these women in their own stadium is amazing.”
Taylor Swift has helped the NFL earn more than $300 millions while attending their games and has also indirectly helped an increase in salary cap for next season. If she came to support the newly created soccer team, the team can be expected to hit a jackpot.
What are the odds Taylor Swift will show up for that one game?
Patrick Mahomes talked about the prospect of bringing Taylor Swift to Kansas City Current’s game but emphasized that she has a busy schedule so it might not be easy.
“We might get her here at some point, she’s a busy woman and Travis [Kelce] is a busy guy,” Patrick Mahomes said.
The QB emphasized that Taylor Swift loves Kansas City and he was sure she would love to visit. He also expressed belief in his wife that she can bring Taylor to the game.
“So, maybe during the season or something like that, we’ll get her out to a Kansas City Current game. She loves supporting Kansas City just like we do and I’m sure Brittany can nudge her and get her here pretty easily.”
Patrick Mahomes is right about Taylor Swift’s busy schedule. She has been doing the Eras Tour and is also going to release a brand-new album in April.
However, Taylor Swift currently has a two-month break before she continues her tour in Paris. The Kansas City Current have 12 home matches, so hopefully Taylor can manage to attend at least one of their games. The Current’s season will continue till June and then, after a break, will resume in late July.
Considering how Taylor Swift managed to attend 13 NFL games amid her busy schedule, she will figure out a way to attend one of Kansas City Current’s games as well for her newly formed friendship with Brittany and for her love for Kansas City.
