The quarterback left the pitch hobbling during the second half of the playoff game. Later, the MRI diagnosed it as a high ankle sprain, which didn’t pose any threat to the AFC championship game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Furthermore, a negative x-ray result allowed the star to play for the Chiefs in their fifth game against the Bengals at Arrowhead Stadium, which resulted in a win for the host.

The 2019 Super Bowl champion threw for 5250 yards on an average of 8.1 yards per attempt, with 41 touchdowns and 12 interceptions this season. His standout performance propelled the Chiefs to their third Super Bowl ring in franchise history.
