PGL Copenhagen Major 2024: Date, prize pool, teams and more

The upcoming PGL Copenhagen Major 2024 is the next big CS tournament taking place this year in Denmark. It is going to be a special event as this is the first major tournament where teams will play Counter Strike 2 after its release in September last year.

Team Vitality won the last Counter Strike major championship, which took place in Paris. Gamers are excited to see how teams fare with the latest version of CS. Here are all the teams that have qualified for the tournament so far.

PGL Copenhagen Major 2024: Date, time, prize pool

PGL Copenhagen Major is scheduled to take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, from March 17 to 31 this year. There will be 24 teams participating in a combined prize pool of $1.25 million. The winners will get $500,000, with those in second and third place receiving $170,000 and $80,000, respectively.

According to the rules set by Valve, the tournament will feature three rounds. The opening stage will run from March 17–20, the elimination stage from March 21–24, and finally the playoffs from March 28–31.

The opening and elimination stages will have 16 competing teams, of which only 8 will progress to the next round. With the progression of the playoffs, we will have the champions.

All team that qualified for PGL Copenhagen Major 2024

There will be 24 competing teams in PGL Copenhagen 2024. The teams come from three different regions: Europe, America, and Asia Pacific.

Teams have to qualify by winning the Regional Major Ranking Tournaments (RMR). 17 teams will come from the European RMR, while American qualifiers will get us 5 teams and Asian qualifiers decide the remaining two slots.

As of now, the regional qualifiers for the Copenhagen Major are underway. While the final teams from the Europe RMR have been determined, the Asian and American Regionals are yet to commence. The completion of the American RMR by March 4 will finalize the roster for the major event.
