The Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott has recently filed a countersuit against a woman who accused him of sexually assaulting her back in 2017.
While the investigation of the case is underway, a recent development reveals that Prescott might be innocent in the case, and the real culprit might be the woman’s lawyer.
Dak Prescott hater repping woman who alleged Cowboys QB of sexual assault
Surprisingly, the attorney who is representing the woman who accused Dak Prescott is a hater of the QB. Some fans found out her hate comments against the QB on social media, which revealed that she hates Dak.
The woman’s name is Yoel Zehaie and the revelation that she is a hater of the QB suggests that all the recent allegations might have been a plan to tarnish the QB’s reputation.
This revelation supports the lawsuit against Dak Prescott. After the QB was accused of sexual assault, he filed a lawsuit against his accuser, claiming that the woman and her lawyer were trying to get $100 million from him through a threat of false accusation.
Prescott, who is widely known as a nice guy, filed the complaint in Collins County, Texas, on Monday. It included a letter that was sent by the accuser’s attorneys, clearly asking for money.
The letter was sent on Jan. 16 to the QB’s lawyers. She mentioned in the letter that Dak Prescott sexually assaulted her in the backseat of his car during an encounter in Plano, Texas.
It stated that if she was not compensated, she would file charges and make it public.
“Despite the tragic events, she is willing to forego pursuing criminal charges, along with disclosing this information to the public, in exchange for compensating her for the mental anguish she has suffered.”
It also had an expiration date stating, “You have until February 16, 2024, to respond to this demand letter.”
Dak Prescott immediately took the matter to legal proceedings and filed a lawsuit against the woman for accusing him and trying to destroy his reputation. His lawsuit includes accusations of defamation, slander, civil extortion, business disparagement, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and civil conspiracy against the woman.
Woman’s attorney re-affirms stance on allegations
Yoel Zehaie, the accuser’s attorney, responded to Dak Prescott’s counter-lawsuit on 105.3 The Fan’s K&C Masterpiece. She expressed surprise at the accusations of extortion.
“This story about extortion, we were really taken aback when we saw it. This is just a legal maneuver. This is a classic move to discredit sexual assault victims.”
Zehaie defended their actions, stating that sending a demand letter is a common practice in civil matters.
“We sent a demand letter, which is very common practice in [civil matters]. There’s nothing extortionist about it. … We’re just very disappointed that he [McCathern] would try to flip the script and make (his client) the victim.”
When questioned about the delay in bringing the allegations to light after seven years, Zehaie explained that it’s common in sexual assault cases.
“Well, you know, this is actually very normal in sexual assault cases, and there’s a lot of data regarding this, and we see experts actually testify about this in criminal cases often that it takes time for sexual assault victims to come out.”
The attorney emphasized the additional layers of fear and intimidation due to Prescott’s status as the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys.
Although Dak Prescott, the talented QB did not address the matter publicly, his lawyer released a statement.
“Mr. Prescott — a new father to a baby girl — has great empathy for survivors of sexual assault. He fervently believes that all perpetrators of such crimes should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.”
It asserted Prescott’s innocence, stating that he had never engaged in nonconsensual sexual conduct and condemning the attempt to extort money from him. The investigation of the case is continuing and hopefully, the right party will get justice soon.
