In recent times, rape and child sex offenses have been highly reported among many high-ranking soccer players. Many stars such as Mason Greenwood, Benjamin Mendy, Dani Alves, and many others have had to battle court cases regarding this.
This trend seems to be continuing as another accusation has now arrived, and this time it’s against a Premier League personnel, whose identity is yet to be revealed to the public.
Police investigation on Premier League personnel
According to the Telegraph, the person who is being accused is unknown but he is said to be a high-ranking club executive. He is reported to have a history of battling allegations of rape before. The offender is thought to be a respected figure and due to legal reasons can’t be named.
The accused person was interviewed recently last Monday at one of London’s police stations. He has not been arrested yet, due to lack of evidence. The allegations will not hamper his relationship with his club yet.
Law enforcement first received a complaint about him almost 21 months ago. The woman spoke with the police, who said she was raped years ago by the accused. At the time, she is said to have been a teenager. This makes the accused face two charges, of both rape and child sex offenses.
The alleged incident reported happened when the girl applied for a job at an organization where the accused was involved. It is also said that she was only 15 at the time and it was back in the 1990s. It is said that after the complaint, police contacted the accused who decided to come in of his own accord to deny the charges against him.
A leading figure in Premier League football has been accused of raping two teenage girls, one of whom was 15 at the time of the alleged offence.

Scotland Yard explained in a statement, “On Thursday, September 23, 2021, the Met received a crime report regarding an historic rape allegation. On Monday, June 12, a man was interviewed under caution at a police station.”
The accused is to be shocked and a source revealed, “He is shocked by the allegation and totally refutes it.”
The source also added, “The allegation goes back quite a few years when the complainant met the suspect after she applied for a job at a place he was involved with. She was a teenage girl at the time and is now a mature woman.”
Rape alleagtions in soccer
This isn’t the first case of a soccer-related individual having been accused of rape. Brazilian soccer superstar Dani Alves has been in jail since being arrested following a similar accusation. He had been arrested for sexually assaulting a young lady at a Barcelona nightclub and has stayed in jail for more than three months now.
Prosecutors of France had also opened an investigation over PSG superstar Achraf Hakimi as a charge of accused rape was brought on against the Moroccan sensation by a young woman.
Former Manchester City star Benjamin Mendy was also battling the court for rape allegations. But he has been proven not guilty and is now restarting his career for FC Lorient in France. Another Premier League star, Kyle Walker, was also facing an inquiry by police after he was seen drunk in a pub, exposing himself indecently. Though it was not rape or sexual abuse, he could still be arrested.
