Potential Opponent Planned for John Cena’s WWE Retirement Tour in 2025

This summer, the Money in the Bank event revealed John Cena’s retirement from WWE in-ring action. Fans can’t stop talking about who he could face in his last match as he prepares for his retirement tour in 2025. While many anticipate a legendary match, the show’s planned names don’t seem to live up to the hype.

A lot of people chose old foes like Randy Orton and CM Punk, as well as younger stars like Gunther and Bron Breakker. However, Wrestle Votes recently said that a match between John Cena and Logan Paul is almost certain to happen in 2025.

Both men are looking forward to the big-money showdown. Despite Cena’s extraordinary phandom, Logan Paul’s name hasn’t generated much excitement among teenage fans.

It is planned that Cena will participate in 36 events in 2025, including the Royal Rumble, the Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania 41. He’ll also appear on Netflix’s first Raw, planning to retire by the end of 2025.

However, it’s still unclear if WWE will plan something for John Cena to break Ric Flair’s record of 16 championships. Right now, there are no updates about it.

Randy Orton wants one last match with John Cena

Since John Cena announced he’s stepping away, many celebrities have wanted to face him on his retirement tour. Randy Orton, one of Cena’s famous rivals, said he wants to fight Cena one last time. In an interview for “What Do You Wanna Talk About?”, the Viper shared his wish to work with Cena for this special tour.

He said, “I would love to do that, but I guess, according to John, we’re just gonna let it, you know, if it organically happens, it’ll happen, but I think it’ll happen. I think it’s in the cards.”
