Quandre Diggs’ cryptic conversation with Donovan Smith indicates possible move to Chiefs after Seahawks release

Just a week before NFL free agency, the Seattle Seahawks remodel has started under new coach Mike Mcdonald. The team made some bold moves regarding multiple talented players including Quandre Diggs.

A recent cryptic conversation of Diggs with Donovan Smith indicates he has already figured out where he is headed next.

Seahawks release Quandre Diggs

With the free agency set to hit on March 13, the Seahawks have already released multiple veterans including the safety, Quandre Diggs, per Seahawks.com.

Diggs was acquired by the team in a 2019 trade. He had an exceptional career with the team as he started 72 games and earned Pro Bowl honors three straight times from 2020-2022.

Despite suffering multiple leg and ankle injuries, Diggs played to his full potential. He was also a two-time team captain and had 18 interceptions, including three or more in each of his first four seasons. He became the first safety since Ed Reed to have three or more interceptions in six straight seasons.

However, for the upcoming season, he will no longer play for the Seahawks. The team is undergoing some major transformation and as part of it, he has been released. This move will allow the team to free up $11 million in cap space and take on $10.26 million in dead money.

Now, Quandre Diggs will need to find a new team for the upcoming season. Considering his career stats which include a career-best 95 tackles last season and 324 in 72 games with the Seahawks, he is expected to join one of the best teams in the league.

Quandre Digg’s and Donovan Smith’s exchange indicates potential Chiefs move

Recently, after the news of Quandre Diggs being released from the Seahawks was out, he tweeted about being fired on his day off.

“Got fired on my day off. Damn.”

Donovan Smith, the Chiefs offensive tackle replied to Diggs’ tweet with a curious message, asking where they are going, indicating a potential move together.

“Wassup where we going”

Diggs responded, mentioning his desire to win his first championship and hinting at a possible move to the Chiefs by referencing their two-time championship status.

“what you thinking! 2X champ im tryna get my first one!!”

Adrian Amos also hopped in the conversation asking them to take him too.

Quandre Diggs then replied with a “big reunion” with laughing emojis, suggesting excitement about the potential move and reuniting with Donovan Smith.

The exchange between Diggs and Smith on Twitter strongly suggests that Diggs might join Smith at the Kansas City Chiefs. This move would make sense given the Chiefs’ recent focus on bolstering their offensive line and Quandre Diggs’ focus on competing for a championship.
