Rams-Vikings NFL Playoff Wild-Card Clash Heads to 300 Miles Away from California

California’s wildfires have hit hard, with Los Angeles among the cities affected. The fires have forced evacuations, disrupting lives and industries, including sports. The NFL playoffs are feeling the impact as well.

Due to the disaster, the wild-card game between the Los Angeles Rams and Minnesota Vikings, originally scheduled for Monday at SoFi Stadium, has been postponed to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Wildfires have burnt thousands of acres and forced people to leave their homes. To ensure safety, the NFL relocated the game, citing air quality concerns and pressure on emergency services. Officials, both teams and the NFLPA confirmed the move after consultation.

The Rams skipped practice on Wednesday and had to stop early on Thursday because of the fire in West Hills, Los Angeles. Now, both teams are getting ready for the game in Arizona. The Rams will practice at the Cardinals’ facility in Tempe on Friday.
