WWE’s upcoming premium live event, Crown Jewel, is just around the corner in Saudi Arabia. WWE has already teased some really exciting face-offs. One guaranteed bout is between Cody Rhodes and Gunther for the Crown Jewel title, as announced by Triple H. Meanwhile, Randy Orton has hinted at a showdown with Kevin Owens after their heated exchanges. The Viper is eager to settle the score at Crown Jewel.
Things have been tough for Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens. Their friendship fell apart when Cody joined Roman Reigns at Bad Blood in Atlanta earlier this month.
Owens felt betrayed and thought Orton chose Cody over him, so he turned on Orton and attacked him last week. Owens then created an ultimatum video, escalating the tension between him and Viper.
On Friday Night SmackDown, Orton demanded a match against Owens at Crown Jewel, but GM Nick Aldis said he couldn’t do anything because of higher orders.
Orton, who has a complicated history with those in charge, is determined to face Owens at Crown Jewel. It’s only a matter of time before this match is officially announced.
Kevin Owens considers leaving WWE over feelings of disrespect
Kevin Owens’ recent actions against Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton got him suspended from SmackDown. Kevin Owens expressed his frustration through two videos on social media, with the most recent one revealing his threat to quit WWE due to feelings of disrespect.
Owens said, “I’ve been in WWE now for about 10 years, and I’ve had a lot of ups and downs. But I don’t think things have ever felt as bad as they do right now. It makes me ask myself how appreciated and valued I am by this company.”
Addressing Randy Orton’s betrayal, he added, “I would have never done that to you. Ever. Because I thought that what we had was different. Dude, I just can’t believe you picked Cody Rhodes over me. Between the disrespect shown to me by WWE and Randy breaking my trust like that, I really don’t know if or when I can come back.”
