Real Madrid dismisses Kylian Mbappe negotiation claims
After Kylian Mbappe and Paris Saint-Germain’s relations soured, it seemed like the 24-year-old would not be signing a contract extension next year. Though Real Madrid has always been interested in Mbappe and has been trying to get the 2022 Qatar World Cup top scorer for a few seasons now, a recent statement from the club has surprised the fans.
Several reports claimed that Real Madrid are currently in negotiations with Kylian Mbappe, but they have just revealed they are no longer desperate to sign the striker. Negotiations have not taken place with a player who belongs to PSG”.
Madrid reportedly makes decision on Kylian Mbappe’s shirt number
Although Kylian Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid still sounds like a dream, a few reports out there claim that the 2022 UEFA Champions League winners are already deciding on the Frenchman’s jersey number.
It has been said that Mbappe will be given the number 10 jersey, which is currently owned by veteran player Luka Modric. The midfielder’s contract is set to expire in 2024, and it seems like his club does not plan on offering him a contract extension. Kylian won’t be able to get his number 7 at Madrid, as that is owned by winger Vinicius Junior, who has recently signed a long-term contract with the Los Blancos.
We are still not sure if Kylian Mbappe will be seen wearing a Real Madrid jersey next season, and the club’s recent statement has revealed that they have also not thought about it yet.
