Real Madrid midfield stacked with quality, Toni Kroos and Dani Ceballos contract extension confirmed

It’s no doubt that Real Madrid is one of Europe’s biggest soccer forces. With 14 UEFA Champions League titles in the trophy cabinet, the Los Blancos boast one of Europe’s most impressive rosters.

With the departure of Karim Benzema, Real’s attacking lineup needs an established striker in the upcoming transfer market. However, with English superstar Jude Bellingham joining, Real is going to have an unbelievably impressive midfield lineup in the upcoming season. Let’s take a look at RM’s midfield depth:

Real Madrid’s midfield depth

Real Madrid undoubtedly boasts one of the World’s best midfield lineups. From already established superstars in Luka Modric, Tony Kroos, and Federico Valverde to promising and talented youngsters in Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni, Real’s midfield has all the attacking and defensive options necessary to take out any opponent on any given day.

Jude Bellingham, after securing a gigantic deal, is on his way to join this incredible midfield from Borussia Dortmund. And now, Real Madrid have gone on to give Toni Kroos and Dani Ceballos contract extensions as well.

The 33-year-old German agreed to extend his contract until June 2024 after initially denying an extension last year. The player intended to take an early retirement, but his improved form and fitness convinced him to keep on playing.

Dani Ceballos, on the other hand, has signed a new 4-year-contract after his previous contract was set to expire this month. Although Ceballos has not been a consistent starter for Real, he saw significant action in the league down the stretch last year.

Luka Modric contract renewal

Another superstar in Real Madrid’s midfield, 2018 Ballon d’Or winner Luka Modric, has also signed a contract extension with the Spanish club until June 2024.

According to Index. hr, a Real Madrid official confirmed to Hina that he will serve as the club’s second captain next year. “Luka already has signed a contract until June 30, 2024. He is our second captain,” the official said, requesting anonymity.

Since joining Real Madrid in the summer of 2012, Modric has amassed a total of 23 trophy victories. In the upcoming season, he will have the chance to pass Benzema and Brazilian defender Marcelo, who currently share the record of 25 trophies won by Real Madrid players.
