Dani Carvajal and Joselu’s relationship outside Real Madrid
Dani Carvajal and Joselu, former Real Madrid Castilla teammates, have discovered an unexpected connection off the field. Both players have formed partnerships with twin sisters, resulting in a special bond between them. Joselu and Melanie Canizares tied the knot in 2016, while Carvajal and Daphne Canizares are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their second child. Carvajal had a brief stint in Germany with Bayern Leverkusen in 2012–13 before making his way back to Madrid, where he established himself as a key player for the first team. During his time there, he achieved great success, winning a number of trophies and the Champions League five times.
While playing for the Real Madrid B team, Joselu scored a number of goals but made just two first-team appearances before getting transferred to Hoffenheim.

Later, Joselu joined Newcastle in 2017, but his goal-scoring record was modest, with only 7 goals in 52 matches. However, his most significant season came in 2022, when he joined Espanyol. During this time, he showcased his skills by scoring 16 goals, ultimately earning him a spot on the national team.

Melanie, Joselu’s wife, works as a model and flight attendant. After Joselu departed Madrid more than ten years ago, he and Carvajal were no longer together. However, with the recent loan signing of Joselu by Real Madrid this season, the duo has been reunited.

Daphne and Dani have been in a committed relationship since 2018. In December 2020, their son Martin came into the world. The couple exchanged vows on June 24, 2022. The wedding took place in a former Franciscan convent in Segovia. Dani’s teammates, Thibaut Courtois, Marco Asensio, Federico Valverde, Lucas Vazquez, and Nacho Fernandez, were all present at the celebration.
The event was organized by Daphne herself, as we know, she and her sister run a company called “Blue Weddings.”
