During the race, on lap 33 of 52, Kevin Magnussen experienced a breakdown in his Haas car, accompanied by flames erupting from the rear. The incident resulted in the deployment of the safety car. This gave Max, Norris, and Lewis an opportunity to make pit stops without losing significant time.
Verstappen crossed the line winning his 11th race for Red Bull, matching the record previously set by the McLaren team. The 25-year-old has also extended his lead in the Drivers’ championship by 99 points over his teammate Sergio Perez and has scored enough points to lead the Constructors title by 52 points if he were his own team.
Lando Norris crossed the line 3.7 seconds behind the Dutch driver. After an intense battle with Hamilton for P2 post the safety car, the McLaren team’s strategy to equip an alternate set of tires delivered successful results. The McLaren driver stood on the podium at his home race for the first time, joined by fellow British driver Sir Lewis Hamilton.

Despite encountering challenges in the initial corners of the race, Lewis Hamilton, the British driver, also made a momentary excursion off the track, dropping down to 9th position. However, he quickly embarked on a determined comeback, executing successful overtakes to regain lost ground.
