The playoffs for the Valorant Challengers 2024 South Asia Split 1 Cup 1 are almost here. Revenant Esports was one of the first teams to qualify for that stage. With an unbeaten streak so far, they are looking forward to the finals now.
Earlier, the eSports team from India had brought in overseas talent as they set their sights on competing in the VCT Pacific Stage 1. The new roster is doing well and paying off the trust shown to them. IGL Paradox has now spoken about the team dynamics that are helping them achieve the results in the Challengers tournament.
Paradox talks on Revenant Esports chances of winning Valorant Challengers 2024
Kasif Sayed, a.k.a. ‘Paradox’, joined Revenant for the second time this January. In his last stint, he won the Esports Premier Series and the Esports Club Community Cup with Revenant.
Coming back, he feels that Revenant has always been a good team for him. Remaining undefeated is challenging, but he feels good about the winning streak. He feels that the current squad is a big reason why they are getting good results this season.
The 2023 VCT South Asian Split was difficult for them as they finished in 5th place. They have turned things around spectacularly, with a tally of 7-0 so far. Now they are in the playoffs with three games remaining.
Many are calling Revenant favorites, but such a tag will not add any extra pressure to the squad, adds Paradox. They had prepared extensively for the Pune LAN tournaments before this and hope to come out as winners in the VCT Challengers.
Paradox praises team synergy
Paradox was effusive in praising new recruits Severine and Dos9. He refers to Severine as a ‘big brother’ and says that his experience always helps the squad. A veteran of 15 years, he had previously played for ONIC and BOOM Esports. He has won multiple tournaments in Indonesia, winning the VCT Challengers Indonesia Split for two successive years.
Paradox also refers to DOS9 as a ‘Diamond’ and has no question about his talent. DOS9 has already garnered a fan following inside Revenant, and his contributions in the current tournament are helping the squad. DOS9 had previously played for various teams in the European Valorant Circuit.
