Rey Mysterio Hails Penta’s WWE Debut as a Milestone Moment

Penta made his WWE debut on the January 13th episode of Raw, which was the 2nd show of WWE on Netflix, as the mystery opponent for Chad Gable. Commentator Michael Cole called it “the worst kept secret” since fans already knew he would appear. WWE legend Rey Mysterio praised Penta’s debut, calling it a “milestone moment” for wrestling.

His debut was met with overwhelming support from the WWE Universe, with fans chanting his name and celebrating his victory. During a break, Rey Mysterio shared how much he admired the new athlete’s performance.

He said, “I’ve known Penta for quite some time now, and I’ve always envisioned Penta’s true home to be WWE. Well, he just went out there and proved to me and the whole world why he’s here.”

Mysterio hinted that he might face Penta in the future. However, the 39-year-old’s debut was great, but we’ll have to wait and see if Triple H uses him well on the main roster.

Penta’s Raw debut sparks tension Among some WWE talents

Penta El Zero Miedo’s debut on WWE Raw has everyone talking, including fans and WWE stars. While fans loved his performance, some wrestlers backstage weren’t so happy.

Reports from PWInsider say his match with Chad Gable and his promo went longer than expected. This caused other parts of the show to be cut short, upsetting some WWE Superstars.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider said, “We did confirm that between the 13-minute match and his post-match promo, Penta went way longer than he was initially planned to go, which led to time being trimmed from other segments later in the show.

He added, “There were some talents obviously not thrilled about that, as you can imagine. That said, we are told management was happy with the debut and with Penta’s reaction live.”
