Cody Rhodes made an appearance on the most recent edition of WWE NXT, which was a major event specially managed for Tuesday Night War. After the main event, many WWE superstars shared their thoughts on what had happened. Rhodes announced some major news as a guest general manager.
The event saw the guest setting up a contest for the NXT Championship between Ilja Dragunov and Dominik Mysterio. The reaction of Women’s World Champion at the time of Dom’s brutal chop on Dragunov will never be forgotten.
Rhea Ripley’s naughty response to Dominik Mysterio’s chop at NXT
Big disclosures were made, as both fans and wrestlers expressed their joy and enthusiasm for the show in fantastic ways on the most recent episode of NXT in Tuesday Night War. Cody Rhodes appeared on NXT as a guest General Manager. While Ilja Dragunov was thanking him in the ring, Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley came out and caused a distraction, prompting Rhodes to announce a contest between Dragunov and Mysterio for the NXT Championship with LA Knight as the special guest referee.
If Dirty Dom is in a contest and Rhea Ripley not appearing, would be impossible to see in the ring. So, the reigning women’s world champion stepped in to help the young Dom out. A vicious chop by Dominic Mysterio to Ilja’s breast during the match shocked not only the audience but even the rising star LA Knight. Mami’s reaction to the chopping sound was truly memorable.
A fan posted a clip from the fight on Twitter, showing Ripley looking stunned when Dominik delivered a hard chop to his opposition. Mami saw the fan’s tweet and immediately mentioned Dirty Dom to slap her in a similar way. Users on Twitter have started to find her actions amusing. Some people are wondering what would have happened if Ripley had been slapped in the face.
Dominik Mysterio and Ilja Dragunov face-to-face at NXT
Ilja Dragunov entered the ring as the reigning NXT Men’s Champion. A lot of people wanted to wish him a happy birthday. In response to the enthusiastic reception, Ilja praised Cody’s statements for giving NXT a sense of optimism. Dominik Mysterio and Mami then crashed the show to challenge Ilja for the NXT Championship. Cody recommended that Dominik put his crown on the line, too. They decide to play each other, and Ilja planned to win by crushing Dominik.
Judgment Day’s Rhea Ripley caused disruptions throughout the contest. JD McDonagh and Finn Balor also joined in on the action. Amidst all the mayhem, Ilja Dragunov pinned Dominik Mysterio and kept his championship. For Dominik, Knight was critical in thwarting the collective strategies of Judgment Day. Instead of paying attention to the game, the enthusiastic audience were yelling for Knight.
