Richard Sherman’s statement on Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb “isn’t a bona fide 1 receiver and has been slightly overrated” is justified by “he is right” remark

The Dallas Cowboys are one of the most criticized teams this season, especially after their 42-10 loss to the 49ers. Recently, an ex-NFL cornerback, Richard Sherman also made a harsh statement about one of the Cowboys players.

He targeted the wide receiver of the team, CeeDee Lamb. The former cornerback believes that CeeDee Lamb is not a bona fide #1 receiver. Sherman is not a fan of Lamb and how he plays which was evident from his remarks about the wide receiver.

Richard Sherman’s statement is justified

Richard Sherman appeared on a podcast with Skip Bayless where Bayless asked Sherman if CeeDee Lamb has been overrated as a clear-cut No. 1 wide receiver, to which Sherman emphatically agreed.

“If you think he’s a bonafide, lining up out there at [No.] 1? Then, yeah, that’s overrated.”

Richard Sherman challenged the idea that Lamb belongs in the same tier as the top wide receivers in the league. He placed Lamb in a tier just below the elite group of wide receivers, mentioning players like Jaylen Waddle, Garrett Wilson Jr., and Tyler Lockett in that category.

“So you’re saying he’s in a conversation with Justin Jefferson, Tyreek Hill, Davante Adams, Ja’Marr Chase, Stefon Diggs, A.J. Brown, Cooper Kupp, Deebo Samuel, Terry McLaurin, and Mike Evans? Then you’re not watching it,”

His harsh comments came after the Cowboys loss to the 49ers. In the mentioned 42-10 loss to the 49ers, the Cowboys’ offense, led by Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb, struggled, failing to get into the red zone for the entire game. Lamb had only four catches for 49 yards in that game.

Therefore, many people on social media agreed with Sherman’s assessment. People took to Twitter to agree with Sherman’s comments with tweets like, “He is right.”

Fans justified the comments of Sherman by sharing that they think the same about Lamb being overrated.
