Rikishi Honors Solo Sikoa with New Moniker After Pinning Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel

At WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, Solo Sikoa surprised everyone by pinning Roman Reigns. Roman hadn’t received a pin at a Saudi Arabian event in over 1,900 days—a GOAT-level record itself.

While Roman had lost some tag team matches since becoming champion in 2020, no one had pinned him—except for Cody Rhodes. But Solo made the impossible happen, earning a new nickname from his father, Rikishi, that perfectly fits his big win.

The biggest nickname in WWE was once “The Beast Slayer,” and it was given to anyone who could defeat The Beast, aka Brock Lesnar. Along the way, WWE built Roman Reigns into a true legend, a real GOAT. Therefore, anyone who could defeat him was worthy of a special moniker. That’s exactly what the WWE Hall of Famer did.

After his son Solo Sikoa pinned Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel, the 59-year-old gave him a new nickname: “The GOAT Slayer.” On his Rikishi Fatu Off The Top podcast, the legendary wrestler explained that by beating Reigns, Solo had earned the title of GOAT himself.

The Bloodline storyline, featuring Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, is currently WWE’s biggest draw. In this story, Roman is on a mission to reclaim his Tribe. WWE is doing everything it can to keep the storyline exciting and full of surprises. However, he has some issues with how the story is being booked.

Rikishi slams WWE for flaws in Bloodline’s booking

WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi has shared his frustration with the direction of The Bloodline storyline. On his podcast, Rikishi Fatu Off The Top, he criticized WWE’s booking of his family’s faction.

Typically, The Bloodline headlines major events, but at WWE Crown Jewel, the main event was Cody Rhodes vs Gunther instead. Rikishi is dissatisfied with The Bloodline’s decision to open the show with a six-man tag match, as he believes they should have been the main attraction.

He said, “I mean, The Bloodline is a special attraction just in itself. What I don’t get is that they open up the show… I would probably, as always, keep it where it needs to be – that’s the main event – but I get it; the booking is the booking. So, we got to give it some breathing room because, really, how do you follow The Bloodline? You don’t.”
