Ronda Rousey, three-time women’s champion, started her WWE journey after quitting Ultimate Fighting Championship in 2017. She was a former UFC champion, but after losing to Amanda Nunes in 2016, she said she might never return. However, she made a few appearances in the UFC ring but after 2018, she became a full-time WWE wrestler. Those who follow her on social media and TV, all agree that she has a “Character”. When she entered the ring with her “Dark Eyes” and “threatening look,” her opponents always froze in silence. 

Such a strong female protagonist is unusual in women’s WWE wrestling. She had been working as a “Character” for the WWE for over six years until rumors started surfacing that she would leave her new home.

Ronda Rousey hopes to make UFC comeback in early 2024

The rumor of leaving WWE was spreading according to her Insta post where she mentioned Shayna Baszler and said, “You were the reason I got into this business… Now I got no reason to stay”. Those rumors turned true when this 36-year-old’s confidants cleared everything in an interview with Daily Mail’s Sadie Whitelocks. He said:

‘She just had a match at Summer Slam and is looking to wind down her time and commitments with the WWE and she is now focusing on potentially making a run to have one last fight in the UFC and compete at UFC 300 when that presents itself sometime next year.’

Rousey is undoubtedly one of the most well-known competitors in the history of the UFC. Her comeback is going to be very significant for the sport. So, according to that source, Rousey may return to UFC 300 soon that might take place around mid-2024. UFC often holds monthly pay-per-view events, means 300th edition could happen in mid-2024.

But Fans who loved her in WWE, requested her to stay in WWE by saying “Stay home Ronda.”

In 2016, while leaving UFC, Ronda Rousey promised to never make any return inside the UFC cage but now she reportedly plans to leave WWE instead, which will be upsetting to her WWE fans. There are many mixed reactions are rambling on Twitter and Instagram on this news. 

Some twitted to stay at home; some said if she leaves WWE, it would be a big mistake. 

On the other hand, some fans don’t like how social media users show sympathy for her UFC career. Their main argument is that even if Ronda still defeats 90% of the competitors on the UFC roster, people still treat her like nothing only because Nunes defeated her. They like seeing her make threats in every combat ring as she did at the beginning of her career.
