Michael Chandler believes that Conor McGregor, his next octagon opponent should follow the same protocols that everyone else follows in order to compete, as there is an allegation Conor may have used PED (performance-enhancing drugs) or steroids in order to speed up his recovery time significantly.
The Notorious, who hasn’t fought in nearly two years due to a leg injury, is set to make a comeback, but there is a rumor that he is using PED. This allegation has been given more credence by the fact that he had decided to opt out of the dope testing pool.

The United States Anti-Doping Agency has already brought up a concern regarding the fight, which will take place once The Notorious and Chandler get done performing as coaches in TUF. According to the raised issue, the lightweight fighter is not allowed to compete unless he re-enrolls and receives negative results for the alleged drug use.
What does Michael Chandler say about Conor McGregor?
In a recent interview, Chandler discussed his thoughts on Conor’s decision to opt out of participating in the USADA testing pool leading up to their bout. In compliance with the regulations, a fighter is required to have been in the pool for a period of six months prior to a bout. Thus, if the two are slated to fight in September, the Irishman will have to instantly sign up for the procedure.

âI just asked my management to start putting pressure and figure it out. Right now weâre at March. If we want to fight in September, heâs gotta hop in the pool. Thatâs just the simple fact of the matter. I could care less. I donât care what he weighs, what he’s doing, or how long heâs been in the USADA pool. It does not matter to me.
The Irishman and the American boxer will both serve as coaches on The Ultimate Fighter’s upcoming 31st season, which premieres on ESPN on May 30. However, Chandler has expressed his desire to win the fight as he does not see the former two-division champion any differently.
”Itâs another man with two arms and two legs and Iâve been doing this for over a decade. Iâm excited to go out there and compete against him, but ultimately rules are rules and weâve got to try to figure out how to get around the red tape and get him in the pool and get him tested.â Chandler added.
